Vande Bharat Express News: After a cattle came under the grip of Vande Bharat Express on Thursday (December 1) between Udvada and Vapi railway station in Gujarat, the Railways has become alert. Apart from this, in view of more accidents, Western Railway is now going to build a fence on the railway route.
Western Railway on Friday (December 2) said that it will install fencing on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad rail route by May next year to prevent animals from coming on the tracks.

The Mumbai-Ahmedabad Vande Bharat Express train started on September 30 and since then cattle have come under its grip four times. Western Railway has taken these incidents seriously and is determined to build a fence.

Addressing a press conference at the railway zone headquarters at Churchgate in Mumbai, Western Railway General Manager Ashok Kumar Mishra said that tenders have been invited for fencing the 620 km long rail route. He said that an estimated Rs 264 crore would be spent on this work.
Vande Bharat Express accident
Vande Bharat Express is the semi high speed train of the country. On Thursday, there was a slight scratch in the front part of the train after it came under the grip of a cattle. An officer had given this information. Since the Vande Bharat Express started on this route, this was the fourth accident when the cattle came under its grip. Sumit Thakur, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway had informed that there was no operational problem due to the accident. The train had left at 6:35 pm a few minutes after the accident.
Earlier on November 8, a 54-year-old woman, Beatrice Archibald Peter, was run over by a train near Anand railway station in Gujarat while crossing the tracks. Due to this the woman had died. On October 29, a bull was run over by a train in Atul, Valsad. Due to this the front part (nose) of the train was broken. On October 7, a cow collided with a train near Anand. On October 6, a herd of buffaloes came under the grip of Vande Bharat Express going from Mumbai to Ahmedabad. The accident happened near Maninagar station. Due to this the front part of the train was damaged. Four buffaloes had lost their lives in the accident.
